Sabian Metaphor 

In an astrology chart wheel there are 360 degrees that the sun passes during the year. Each degree is a symbol, lesson or meaning establishing the entire astrological zodiac as a life mandala.

Sabian Symbols are metaphors that point to realizing natural life cycles and  the self.  It's grounding to study these points, as the sun and planets aspect them, while world events transform humanity's  experiences, outlook and ways of life, individually and collectively. We mirror these aspects from above.

As I follow the symbols based on where the sun is I meditate, write and/or create art based on the metaphor.

Sabian Symbols are the metaphors derived in 1925 by Elsie Wheeler, a clairvoyant, and interpreted by Marc Edmund Jones to establish his understanding of each of the 360 degrees of the zodiac. Dane Rudhyar, a pioneer of modern transpersonal astrology, created a schematic using the metaphors to outline a journey toward self-realization.

Each of the 360 symbols and explanations can be seen as a life "mystery". We each have our own personal take on it, as valid as any attempt the author makes to give objective meaning. Interpretation depends on how one opens the subtle, intuitive aspect of the mind to unveil the mystery. in other words, the symbols are for your discovery and personal interpretation.
